On Mystery, Faith, and the Journey of Life

We live inside a pod. It shelters us, shapes us, and gives us form. Yet the pod is not life itself; it is only a vessel. One day it must break open, and what is within will continue on.
For much of my life, I searched for certainty in mysteries. I wanted proof of a God, and I tried to build it from experiences that could not be explained. Strange events, fleeting feelings, moments of awe- these became the truths I leaned on. With faith, they held together for a time. But faith is belief without evidence, and when belief faded, the unknown remained unknown.
Mystery itself is not proof. UFOs do not prove aliens, just as unexplained phenomena do not prove God. They prove only that mystery exists, and mystery touches everyone, believer and atheist alike. It makes life interesting, but it does not demand conclusions. We will leave this world with unanswered questions, and perhaps that is as it should be. Better to spend our days in wonder than in endless argument.
I no longer believe in a God-entity… a Being who created and manipulates us. If I were to call anything God, it would be Life itself. Life is within us and around us. It has always been and always will be, long after humankind has played its part.
And so I do not fear death. I see it as the moment when the pod falls away, and the life inside is released. The vessel is gone, but the essence continues.
We are seed and pod, mystery and life. The pod will break, but the life within will endure. Death is not an end but a crossing, the pod breaking so that life may step into its next horizon.
